BLK/OPL Cosmetics enlisted Alem to orchestrate a complete overhaul of their acne and blemish products and lead new formula initiatives to round out their curated assortment. 

As part of the reformulation, BLK/OPL wanted to incorporate cleaner, safer ingredients. We partnered closely with their dermatologist to identify the right ingredients for targeting skin concerns specific to people of color. Then, we created a bespoke do-not-use list tailored to the brand and established their first-ever clean formula standards for color products and skincare. 

We facilitated a new design and mold development for their bestselling BLK/OPL Even True Blemish Control bar. Additionally, we facilitated all formula testing and regulatory checks for the skincare line and managed the label artwork.
